This has to be one of the most offensive & disgusting things one could ever do, made worse by the fact that he's seemingly gotten away with this. So many queer people experience hate crimes everyday across the world & this guy had the audacity to think it would be good idea to make a mockery out of it by staging an attack. Not only has he yet to issue a public apology or show any remorse for this actions, but also how he's still allowed to speak for the community despite fuelling bigotry in such a gross manner.
You simply can't you go by life knowing that you made the decision to cause damage to the image of a community you claim to care about. Going back to the community, where's the self-respect? Where's the consistency? I guarantee you that had any other queer "influencer" done this, there would be outrage across the board.
As a community, we really need to pull ourselves together because stuff like this is why our opponents continue to get one ups on us.
